What’s Getting in the Way?

  • Meltdowns keep turning into power struggles, and everyone ends up exhausted.

  • You repeat yourself, nothing sticks, and every day starts to feel the same.

  • You are drowning in advice but do not have practical tools and clear steps for hard moments.

Why Connection Beats Control

  • Kids don’t learn regulation from punishment. They learn it with a calm, safe adult.

  • Co-regulation tells the nervous system, “you’re safe,” so logic and learning can happen.

  • Replace fear-based compliance with respectful cooperation, so everyone can breathe again.

Collection of pages from a toolkit titled 'Co-Regulation & Connection Toolkit: How to Support Your Child’s Emotions Without Losing Yourself' by Erin Tee, featuring illustrations of a family, colorful icons, and text explaining co-regulation concepts.

What’s Inside?

This Toolkit Is For You If…

  • You're stuck in a cycle of meltdowns, power struggles, and guilt, and you want a calmer route.

  • You want clear scripts and simple steps for hard moments, not more theory or “just stay calm” advice.

  • You're ready to shift from reacting to co-regulating, repairing, and building skills over time.

Why Learn from Me?

I am a neurodivergent parent, educator, and communicator. I know what it feels like to be stuck in meltdown cycles, wanting to stay calm and connected but feeling overwhelmed and burned out. I bring together:

  • An M.Ed in Cognitive Diversity and training in neurodiversity-affirming practice

  • Lived experience parenting through big feelings, school meetings, and everyday crises

  • Years of creating practical, visual tools that real families can actually use on low capacity days

I created the Co-Regulation & Connection Toolkit because I needed something just like this in my own home. You should not have to piece together scripts, supports, and routines from random posts. This toolkit gives you a clear, compassionate roadmap to build more calm, together.

How It Works

  • Download & skim the Quick Start
Open the PDF and note where to find state cues, Reminder Cards, Mindset Check In, and the Co-Regulation Flowchart.

  • In the moment (≈ 60 seconds)
Notice the state, pick 1 script and 1 body reset, and make 1 small environment tweak. Stay close, with a steady voice.

  • After (repair & reset)
When calm returns, use the debrief prompts to reconnect and plan one small change for next time. Place a Reminder Card where you’ll see it.

  • Review to keep it relevant
At the end of day, review what worked, swap what didn’t, and update your go-to plan for tomorrow.
